Richard & Gayle
Todd are the founders of EPIC, the first environmental
underwater image competition, now entering its fifthteenth
year. Their conservation rules have been the model for
many subsequent contests. In 1999 they were awarded AT&T's
prestigious Champions of the Environment Award. Rich and
Gayle co-direct the Monterey Shootout (with Berkley White)
and the Monterey Peninsula Underwater Photographers at
the Monterey Bay Aquarium. They developed the photo competition
for Underwater Malaysia, and coordinated its first two
years.
